ARTIST STATEMENT

Music has always been the constant through line in my creative brain. I have more than a decade of experience as a touring multi-instrumentalist and producer and co-founded an organization, People Music LLC, to bring resources, power and autonomy to independent musical artists in Portland. I have produced over 35 original projects (EPs/ LPs) and currently work independently with different artist, creative agencies and companies, creating original content to that tell unique stories.

I AM LOOKING FOR

New opportunities, briefs and projects that challenge technique and help me expand my knowledge of movie / music making and collaborative art. My direction fuses different genres, and I enjoy being challenged to create new sounds and feelings that push my comfort zones and technique.

I thrive in collaboration and love working with teams and bringing other artists vision to life.

HOW I MAKE ART

I use field film, recordings, analog synthesizers, guitars, hand crafted beats and a library of samples to amplify abstract subjects, designs and stories.

I am used to being a one-stop-shop and have learned the ins and out of mixing, DX / SFX/ MX treatments and video editing.I currently have a mobile recording and production set up to work on the go and enjoy composing in silence and busy fast paced environments. Often times I will record the sounds around me at the time, run them through an EFX chain and incorporate them into the project. As a multi disciplinary artist, my process centers on bringing stories back to life. I produce works in a very precise and detailed manner, however, not perfect, imitating life. I would like to allow the listener to experience desire, inspiration, compassion, and critical thought.
